Discovering Your Core Values
How this works:
The following Luck Companies™ Core Values Exercise will help you identify and prioritize your core values.
By understanding our values and how they influence our decisions, we can make conscious choices about our behaviors, our relationships, and how we can make a positive difference in the world.
- When we act in ways that align with our core values, we feel more fulfilled, more confident, and more secure.
- When we work in an environment that aligns with our core values, we are more likely to feel engaged and perform at a high level.
- When we are aware of our core values, we can better understand why some of our relationships are healthy, and some are a challenge.
Ultimately, understanding our core values helps us raise our awareness and make choices that ignite our potential and the potential of those around us.
Your Results:
We may not always be aware of our core values, but those values influence our behaviors, our relationships, and our outcomes.
For example, if we value honesty, chances are we will be compelled to tell the truth, even when there is a cost. We will feel uncomfortable when people lie to us, and especially, when we lie to others.
If we value accuracy, we will dot our I’s and cross our T’s. We’ll correct others without even thinking about it. We may even mistrust people who seem to be a little loose with the facts, who aren’t as accurate as we would like.
Often, the people we struggle with the most are not good or bad, they simply have different values than we do.
